Many things in life bring me happiness: travel, learning about new cultures, interacting with children, and taking on new challenges. I studied English Literature for my undergraduate degree, and Linguistics for my Master's, both at the University of Louisville.
I have taught college writing, adult literacy, and high school language arts/English as a Second Language. Tutoring is enjoyable for me because I love helping others improve in their chosen areas.
For me, the first step in tutoring a new student is to get to know them so that I can personalize their experience. I feel invigorated when I see someone improve test scores or an essay. I enjoy seeing satisfaction on the faces of my students.
