Certified Tutor

With a BA in Human Development from Eckerd College and prior subject certification in Social Sciences (grades 612), I bring a dynamic and flexible approach to tutoring that spans K12, adult learners, and test preparation. I have taught and tutored in subjects including Civics, AP Psychology, Sociology, U.S. and World History, Government, English Language Arts, and Reading, and I also support learners in writing, essay editing, creative writing, and journalism.

As a reading interventionist and writing coach, I specialize in helping struggling and reluctant learners gain confidence and clarity through targeted strategies tailored to their individual needs. My approach is strength-based and multi-disciplinary, drawing on real-world examples to foster understanding and engagement across subjects.

I also tutor elementary students in reading, math, science, and phonics, and support adult learners in literacy, writing, and study skills. I enjoy working with diverse learners from middle schoolers discovering their voice in writing to adults returning to school and I bring patience, insight, and a love for learning to each session.
