I am Jacqueline Prichett Rios, a dedicated Spanish educator with over 32 years of teaching experience across high school, university and community college settings. I earned my Master's in Translation and Interpretation from Rutgers University, which complements my passion for language and culture. My teaching philosophy emphasizes a dynamic and interactive learning environment, where I utilize diverse methodologies, from flashcards to real-world applications, to engage students of all levels, learning styles and abilities, including AP Spanish Language and Literature. Having lived in Spain and traveled throughout Latin America, I draw on my personal experiences to bring cultural context into the classroom, fostering a deeper connection between language and its diverse cultures. I find immense joy in guiding students on their language-learning journeys, and I continuously seek new strategies and techniques to enhance their learning experiences. Outside of teaching, My Argentine husband and I enjoy exploring various cuisines and actively participating in a Spanish Meet Up group, further enriching my connection to the language.
