Certified Tutor

I love to learn - always have - always will. I want to help others love to learn and feel accomplished - so, I teach. In truth, I say that I do not teach - I inspire. Add a few college degrees, mix in 3 decades of teaching experience on many grade levels, sprinkle in tutoring experience, and top with a can-do attitude and spirit, and you have a recipe for a great tutor. That's me!

I graduated from Aurora University with a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Math; from Concordia University with a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Math Curriculum and Instruction; and from Meredith College with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Business Administration. Since graduation, I have taught Math classes for the past 30 years on the middle school, high school and collegiate levels in the classroom and via hybrid and remote learning formats. My specialties are Basic Math, Algebra, Math 1-3, Geometry, and Statistics. I have tutored math for the past 20 years. I am most passionate about Math, yet my love for learning will not allow me to focus just on the numbers. I am also certified to teach and tutor English, Science and Admissions Test Preparation.

In my experience helping struggling students prepare for Standardized Tests, we always seem to have the most fun (with remarkable advancements) prepping for the Critical Reading and Writing as well as the Math components. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, watching anything on the Food Network Channel and cooking, playing in the back yard or at the dog park with my 4 fur-babies, gardening, doing anything with family, singing, dancing and performing.
