I am a graduate of Northern Illinois University, from where I received my Bachelor of Arts in psychology this year. During my first two undergraduate years, I majored in music education. I student-taught in a 7th grade orchestra classroom for one semester, before I switched my major to psychology in my third year. From then until graduation, I took classes in all areas of psychology as well as participated in four research projects. While I am most passionate about psychology (and tutoring it), I also tutor Spanish. I took Spanish classes from 7th grade through my second year of college, and I come from a Spanish-speaking family. I also tutor elementary school reading. I believe in education for all, and that a good education is key to a successful life. I would love to help all the students I can to reach their educational goals. In my spare time I enjoy reading, playing my viola, doing henna, and watching Bollywood movies.

I've always loved to read, ever since I learned how, and I always ask for books as birthday gifts. When I first started college, I started learning how to do henna, and I've been doing it ever since. It's my favorite art form, however I also like to draw. Although I switched my major from music, I still love to play my viola in my spare time. I've always loved music. Watching Bollywood movies is another thing I love to do when I have time, it connects me to my culture and I greatly enjoy them.
