When I look back at my education, starting with kindergarten, the teacher I remember the most was Mr. Rosenblum. It is obvious that this teacher made a real impact in my life and education. I still remember his name and have a clear picture of his smile, red hair, just like it was yesterday. His positive and encouraging approach to teaching, made a real impact in my life. I want you to remember me one day, not only for the knowledge I shared with you, but also that I made a difference in your life.

My experience working with students has made my life fulfilling, knowing that I made a positive impact in their lives. When a student comes up to me either at school or out in public and smiles and says: "Mr. Russo, Remember me, you had me in first grade. I have seen massive changes in my former students, physical, attitude and behavior wise. When they smile and say thank you for being my teacher, it all makes it worthwhile.

I have earned a Master and Bachelor degrees in Political Science from Boston College and plan to peruse a Doctorate. I have learned a great deal from my education at Boston College, all the exams were essays and it trained my mind to think analytically and to expand upon my knowledge on my own. The course that made the biggest impact at Boston College was Goethe's Faust, in two semesters, very rigorous, taught by a German professor, Bloom. He had seven doctorates and fluent in many languages. He was the very embodiment of Goethe, who believe knowledge is a life long endeavor, which I strongly believe in. I want to impart into my students the same philosophy.

My favorite subject to tutor is definitely Political Science which includes all the areas in Social Studies. Even when I was fourteen I was interested in politics, Social Studies and the law, I wanted to be a lawyer and politician.

My teaching style is to customize and adopt my lessons to fit the individual student's needs and ability to learn. I am a fervent believer that positive re enforcement should always be applied and that a lesson does not only need to be informative but also fun in order to maintain and maximize the students learning experience.
