Education is more than just memorizationit's about making connections, asking the right questions, and building confidence in problem-solving. As a tutor, I am passionate about helping students not only understand their coursework but also develop critical thinking skills that will serve them beyond the classroom. I believe that every student has the potential to succeed when given the right support, and I strive to create a learning environment that is both engaging and approachable.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Physiology and Neurobiology and am currently pursuing a Master of Science in Microbiology and Molecular Immunology at Johns Hopkins University. With a strong background in biological sciences, chemistry, and writing, I have years of experience teaching students at the high school, college, and graduate levels. I have served as a teaching assistant for biology courses, a tutor for molecular and cellular biology, and a writing tutor for graduate students, helping them refine research papers, essays, and personal statements.
I tutor a wide range of subjects, but I am most passionate about biology (including cellular biology, microbiology, immunology, physiology, and anatomy), general chemistry, and writing (essay editing, college admissions essays, and English-related coursework). Science, in particular, excites me because it allows us to understand the mechanisms that govern life itself. I love guiding students through complex biological processes by breaking them down into clear, relatable concepts and fostering curiosity about how science applies to the real world.
My tutoring style is adaptive and student-centered. I tailor each session to the individual's learning style, whether that means using visual aids, real-world analogies, practice problems, or step-by-step breakdowns of difficult topics. I encourage active participation, guiding students to ask questions, analyze concepts critically, and build confidence in their abilities.

Outside of academia, I enjoy writing, playing the piano, and baking! I also love hanging out with my cat, Summer, during my off-time.
