I am a recent graduate of Bryn Mawr College, where I graduated magna cum laude with both a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in Mathematics through their dual degree A.B./M.A. program. In high school, I worked as a peer tutor, private SAT prep tutor and private math tutor for high school freshman. On the Varsity Tutors platform, I am a math and SAT prep tutor and an advocate for STEM education. I believe that math education should be more than just rote memorization of formulas, and I am passionate about getting students to see the fun and beauty of mathematics. In my experience, I've found that by prioritizing student understanding and enjoyment of the material, you will see both an improved academic performance and a higher level of student engagement. In my free time I enjoy fiber arts, trading card games, video games and hiking.
