I graduated from Georgetown University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in English and African American Studies, with a specific focus on popular media and critical race studies. After graduation, I moved across the country, teaching in New York City and Washington, DC. In my experience tutoring, I find the most success in meeting people where they are; that means sometimes using analogies from popular culture (e.g., the newest anime on Netflix) instead of one from mythology, religion, or literature.
