I love helping people learn. I have about 10 years of experience with teaching and tutoring, and I still find it a consistently fresh and fulfilling thing to do. Most of my teaching experience comes from my work as a Teaching Fellow whilst I was earning my Mathematics Ph.D. from Boston University, and some more comes from my time as a Math Lecturer at Northeastern University. Per this, I prefer to work in Math subjects, though I am not against Physics, Programming, or other related topics. My philosophy of teaching is that a student should never be punished or shamed for asking a question, and moreover that my time is best spent on students who are struggling with the topic at hand - students who already "get it" don't really need my help, after all. In my spare time, I have generic nerd hobbies, i.e. videogames, reading, etc. Besides that, I attend a rock climbing gym (which I have found to be THE premier exercise for nerds).
