Certified Tutor
I am passionate about education and how people learn. I believe that we all have an inherent sense of curiosity and often the school environment can be detrimental to its development. I am equally passionate about history. The story of the past is the story of humans just like us that had the same problems and interests as we have today. I am fascinated and inspired by their stories. I have been teaching for 43 years but I am no less passionate now than I was when I started. I care about helping each student in their personal journeys in life and I am devoted to see each student succeed.
I have a BA in History from UCLA and a Masters in Education from Stanford.
I have taught in the public and private sector at the High School level and am currently teaching graduate level courses at the University of San Francisco in the School of Education training the next generation of teachers.

I am passionate about education. I am an avid sports fan. I grew up in the Bay Area so SF Giants, SF 49ers, GS Warriors, and Stanford Cardinal are all teams I follow. I love to travel the US by car and train especially to visit family and historic sites. I enjoy reading and hiking. I am comfortable with technology. I started learning Fortran language when I was in High School in the early 70's designing my own baseball game. I have been married to my wife Kathy for 43 years. We have 5 children and 5 grandkids.
