Hello! My name is Summer and I'm a current MS1 at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. During my undergraduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh, I studied Spanish and Psychology with a minor in Chemistry and concentration in the biological sciences. I have a lifelong love of learning that I hope to instill in my students! In the past, I've taught Spanish, college level Biology, Physics, Biochemistry, Anatomy & Physiology, and Organic Chemistry, with experience spanning six years. For the last year and a half, I have been tutoring the MCAT. I scored a 520 - there have been issues adding it to my VT account but I can provide documentation for those who are interested!
I love breaking down content and watching students synthesize it in a way that makes sense to them. There's no better feeling than watching that "aha" moment. Together, we can establish learning strategies on an individual level and build confidence in the subject of your choice!

I love sports, especially volleyball and soccer. I’m a big Pittsburgh fan (go Pens!) and I’m watching or playing sports of some kind basically every day. I also have a love of travel. I'm an avid climber, so I have been all over in search of some of the world's classic climbs. My life plan is to become a physician – likely in surgery, but still unsure. I love learning and helping people so medicine is the perfect field for me.
