I believe that every human has the brilliance and passion they need to thrive. There are as many ways to learn as there are people in the world. Coming alongside students as they discover and celebrate their own learning styles and unique passions is something that brings me joy. This is my "why" for teaching.
I have been working with students around the world for the past ten years. I have taught computer workshops in South Africa, creative writing to students navigating ADHD, and have taught middle school language arts and social studies the past three years.
I studied English Writing in Los Angeles before earning my Master of Arts in Teaching from Lewis & Clark College.
Here are some things I have come to believe while working with students over the years:
Your words are important.
Your experiences matter.
You are capable and worthy of thriving in whatever you set your mind toward.
