I'm a graduate of Florida State University where I earned a PhD in U.S. History, but in teaching in the classroom for more than 20 years, I have also been lucky to be able to teach World History, U.S. government, and economics all at the AP level.

I have been a reader for the AP World History Exam for 12 years, so I am very familiar with how the exams are scored. I have led teams that have scored SAQs, DBQs, and LEQs.

I've also been a tutor for more than 10 years, helping students prep for standardized tests, but also for their English, history, algebra, per-calculus, and calculus classes. I really enjoy working in math subjects because it provides an opportunity to engage students with the problem solving and critical thinking skills they'll need. Education for me is important, not just for test scores and grades, but because it creates opportunities in life. In my free time I enjoy reading all kinds of books and running.
