I am a graduate of Appalachian State University with double degree in Mathematics and Philosophy, and a minor in Computer Science. I am currently working toward completing my degree in Computer Science at Oregon State University. Since graduating I have been a classroom teacher of Mathematics and Computer Science. I have taught every math class ranging from Elementary Algebra to Calculus. Students in my classes know they will be asked to explore topics and think critically about the content. I believe that students learn best when the material is meaningful and interesting. For that reason, I use lots of real-world examples and I work to learn about what my students are interested in so that I can connect the material to their life. I believe education is important because it helps us continually grow as individuals and intellectuals. In my spare time in enjoy playing video games, reading, and playing music. I am also working on multiple coding projects in Python, Java, and Javascript.
