I love helping Anatomy and Physiology students find the simple and logical elements of this incredibly complex subject. If you think of A&P as a foreign language imbedded in a science class, learning the new language first helps the science make more sense.
I received my Master's in Sports Health-Clinical Exercise Physiology at Texas Tech, a program that allowed me to take gross anatomy at the Health Science Center in the cadaver lab, and my bachelor's degree in Health Science is from Baylor University. I taught in higher education for 8 years at both colleges and massage therapy schools. I left full time teaching a few years back to be more available to my new family, using that flexibility to train clients (Certified Personal Trainer through NASM for 20 years). I am extremely passionate about helping people understand the body and how it works, either through teaching students so they are as prepared as possible for a career in healthcare or clients working towards the health of their body.
In my spare time, I enjoy being outside in nature, hiking and camping as well as spending time with my husband, our kids and our countless pets, large and small.

I enjoy spending time outside being active and often go hiking and camping. I also enjoy animals so we ride horses, play with our pets and spend time volunteering. I have registered therapy dogs that I take to visit children's hospitals, libraries and schools for visits and early reading programs.
