I am ready to help you with your learning journey. Being a life learner and continuously working on yourself is crucial to your success. I believe that a positive attitude can allow anyone to learn anything.

In all I do I always find a way to make it work! My teaching philosophy reflects that. I approach teaching with different strategies that complement my student's learning preferences, ensuring that all learners obtain the necessary tools to reach their learning goals.

I began my learning journey at Arizona State University with a bachelors in Civil Engineering. I attended Tulane University for my Masters in Business Administration and while finishing that I also obtained my Professional Engineering license in Arizona. My background is in construction and consulting. I've always enjoyed doing arts and crafts, painting, and design so a few years after my MBA, I decided to undertake some creative design projects that lead me to take a few college courses. Unbeknownst to me at that time, those courses turned into passions and two Associates degrees: Web and Graphic Design + Interior Design. I'm fascinated with merging the technical with the creative. I believe we are the creators of the world around us!

I'm passionate about teaching and have extensive experience teaching ages ranging 3 years to adult learners. I've taught 10+ years and developed curriculum for my church's children ministry. I began my second career as an adjunct professor at a community college and have been teaching 7+ years - graphic design, Adobe Illustrator + Photoshop, WordPress, Microsoft Suite, Information Systems, 3D design/printing, app design, and coding. I was awarded the 2020 Outstanding Adjunct Award, 2022 NISOD Award, and earned a Credential in Effective College Instruction from ACUE. I have substantial experience with public speaking and have presented at conferences and workshops. I enjoy traveling and have had the opportunity to study abroad.
