Certified Tutor

I am a graduate from Jacksonville State University (BS, MS, and EdS) with certifications in Special Education - Emotional Conflict and Mild Learning Disabled K-12, Secondary Mathematics 6 - 12, Administration K-12, and Criminal Justice - Corrections. I'm a former 6-12 teacher for public schools as well as State juvenile facilities, currently teaching at the college level, and have years of experience in all the different math courses (K - Post Secondary). My philosophy of teaching is to find the correct path for all my students. Using various delivery methods, trial and error, and lots of practice, we will all move forward together. It is also important to assess to see where mastery level is and find strengths and weaknesses. It is very rewarding and makes me very happy when I see my students succeed. Especially seeing we all succeeded together with perseverance and dedication! I'm a firm believer in the concept of Growth Mindset and guide my students towards that attitude in their daily lives. Yes You Can! When I'm not teaching I love construction and have flipped several houses, growing my own food from a balcony and inside, and spending time with my boys and my dog.
