I am a graduate of Independence High School, and I am currently an undergraduate student at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), working towards a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biomedical Engineering. Though I do not have any previous experience in tutoring students before becoming a varsity tutor, I did help a lot of my friends in college to understand class materials and solve problems. I am also a Chinese mentor at RPI, helping students in Chinese classes to read and write Chinese, while also exchanging cultural experiences. I feel happy and satisfied to use my own knowledge to teach others and see them succeed academically, which drives me to become a tutor. I can tutor Chinese and a variety of math subjects, and I enjoy teaching in both areas. I believe that all students have the potential to learn and learn well, so I would always find ways to improve my teaching style that helps my students to learn and understand the academic concepts. In my free time, I enjoy reading, jogging, and singing.

I love music, and I always loved singing; reading is also one of the ways I use to help myself relax. I enjoy jogging, badminton, and pool. As a college student, working on school work is also very important to me! I find doing schoolwork interesting because I gain knowledge from there.
