I have a bachelor's degree in TESOL/ESL from Brigham Young University-Hawaii and am currently pursuing my master's degree in TESOL from Concordia University. I tutored English language learners of all ages for four years at Brigham Young University and on internships in Kiribati. I have worked as an elementary school music teacher, taught piano and voice lessons for many years, and tutored many K-8 students in all their school subjects during the Covid-19 pandemic. I worked as an adjunct professor at Brigham Young University teaching English language classes and am currently an English language teacher. I am passionate about treating my students as individuals. I love to get to know my students, see what their goals are, how they learn, and what level they are at. Then, it is so rewarding to help them improve and succeed.

I am definitely a people person. I love teaching, getting to know students from around the world, making personal connections, and helping people. I also love traveling, exploring, and learning about the cultures of the world. I also love music and theater. My life is incomplete if I am not singing in a choir. I love musical theater singing and opera as well, choral music, as well as acting. Music is my creative outlet! Finally, I love to read and write. I get my thoughts in order through journaling, and I love to read because it allows me to learn all kinds of things about the world or enter another world entirely.
