I have had two special opportunities to tutor students who were struggling with English Arts skills. One example was my helping a girl from Chile, who was trying to improve her grammar and writing skills in order to become a news reporter. By the time we finished, I was so proud of her and her ability to write a five-paragraph essay that would be college acceptable.
The other was a girl also trying to improve her ACT scores and her writing skills. After working with her for a few weeks, she was able to do well on her ACT by practicing ACT-type questions and learning the correct response. Since then she has been accepted to and is now enrolled at the university and studying to become a teacher.
I find it very satisfying to help students who need assistance with writing or grammar skills and who have a sincere desire to improve. It makes me want to do everything in my power to help them succeed. I love being around young adults and interacting with them, and I hope I can teach the required material that you need to achieve your goals.

Hobbies

I love to ski, golf, and travel. I have skied since I was 12 years old at Snowbasin ski resort. For the last two years, I have been a guest host at the resort and have had the opportunity to meet people from all over the world and give them a skiing tour of the mountain. I also love to golf with my eight friends who golf once a week. We golf at many different courses, each time trying to improve our scores. I found out that I had to do three items to get better. One was to go to the gym and build muscle; one was to take lessons ; and one was to buy new clubs. After doing all this, I improved my score from 50 to 40 per round. That made golfing so much more fun! I love to travel and have been to most European countries, four countries in South America, China, and all but 2 of the US states. It's really hard for me to sit still, so I'm a goer and a doer!
