I am a graduate of the University of Missouri-St. Louis. I received my Bachelor of Science in Education degree with a dual certification in Special Education and Elementary Education. After graduation, I taught grades K-5 for over twenty years with the St. Louis Public Schools. I taught grade three for ten years during this time with the St. Louis Public Schools. While teaching, I received my Master of Education with an emphasis on Reading from Grand Canyon University in 2007. I am passionate about reading, math, and writing because I feel these subjects are the foundation for education. Since retiring from my classroom in 2011, I have been substituting in different districts in St. Louis until March of 2020.
My teaching philosophy is that all children can learn and are teachable. My tutoring style is to be very observable and allow the students to discover their learning style.

My hobbies are sewing, singing, and writing. I have written a book titled “We Give Praises” that has just been published, July 12, 2021. An activity book that goes with this book is being completed as we speak. I sing in my church choir. I have my Real Estate license and pursue this field occasionally.
