Bryan: Elk Grove Village tutor
Certified Tutor
I am a licensed attorney in Colombia and a graduate of the Latin American Autonomous University, with additional training in technical language and public speaking. My professional journey has combined legal expertise with a deep passion for education.
Over the years, I have taught English, Spanish, and political science in various educational settings, including schools, universities, and public programs. One of my most meaningful teaching experiences was at Fontidueo Educational Institution, where I taught Spanish at night to both young people and adults from diverse backgrounds. This role helped me cultivate effective communication rooted in empathy and mutual respect.
Internationally, I also worked as a private tutor in Vietnam, which deepened my understanding of cross-cultural education and student-centered teaching. In Colombia, I served as an English professor at Esumer University, where I helped students develop both academic and conversational language skills.
Additionally, I held the role of coordinator of teachers in public educational programs, where I supported curriculum development and promoted collaborative teaching practices. I also worked as an English moderator at the Pilot Public Library for Latin America, facilitating interactive language learning experiences and community engagement.
As a tutor, I help students face academic challenges with confidence, discipline, and enjoyment. I believe learning begins with understanding each student's motivations, expectations, and goals. By identifying their cognitive, emotional, and social starting points, I build respectful relationships that allow me to personalize my teaching approach and foster lasting comprehension.
Growing up with a mother who taught humanities instilled in me a deep love for education. I see learning as a transformative force that empowers individuals and broadens their understanding of the world. For me, teaching is not just a profession it is a calling to inspire, guide, and awaken a lifelong passion for discovery.
