Hello! I am a 25-year veteran teacher who loves kids. I have experience as a special education teacher, reading specialist, general education teacher in elementary school, and middle school ELA/Social Studies teacher. My philosophy of education is that students first need an emotional connection to learning before true growth can occur. With an emotional tie, the right instruction (at the student's area of understanding and current academic level), and an environment that supports learning, every student can and will succeed. As you can see, my experiences are varied and I have a strong skill set to work with a variety of students in the areas of reading and writing. I am passionate about working with students because I believe that all students are capable of tremendous growth, with the right help. I hope to work with you soon!
