Timothy: Albany County tutor
Certified Tutor
I have a BS degree in Secondary Education-Social Studies, an MS in Educational Administration and an MS in Special Education-Learning Disabilities all from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. While teaching social studies I became interested in working with students with learning disabilities as I was very successful in teaching these students. It created a desire to gain greater insight in all aspects of learning, which was the area of focus for my graduate program in learning disabilities.
For the last 30 years, I have been working at the University of Wisconsin-Madison coordinating the placement testing program for all University of Wisconsin campuses. During this time I have been a leader on campus and throughout the UW System in promoting equitable policies and programs for people with disabilities. I have employed my knowledge of learning principles to become a well-respected and highly rated presenter at higher education institutions and national conferences.
I would now like to help students with their learning by being a tutor. I have experienced the power of education and I fell like this will allow me to help others experience this too.
