Certified Tutor

My passion is teaching children and adults, not only a new language (Spanish), but also the culture, so students engage and enjoy their learning experience. I am originally from Venezuela where I received my Bachelor and Master Degrees. When I arrived to Florida, I received the Spanish Teacher Certificate. Since then, I have been teaching Spanish in Broward County Public Schools and tutoring High and Middle School students. My students enjoy learning Spanish because they improve their fluency and knowledge of the new language and the culture while applying their knowledge to their daily lives. In addition, I volunteer in the children ministry of my church. In my experience helping struggling students prepare for tests and projects, we have always seem to have the most fun (with remarkable advancements). My philosophy is that students experience an optimal learning experience when they have the opportunity to relate and apply what they learn to real world situations. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. In my spare time, I enjoy outdoor activities, biking, and volunteering which enriches my life. My passion about teaching is because I see it as an opportunity to help others to reach their maximum potential.
