After advancing my knowledge and skills in the field of education with honors from Trinity University of Washington, D.C., I have been an educator throughout Maryland for 20 years. Having the opportunity to instruct students of all ages, grades content and learning disabilities has provided me with much knowledge and skills I am now able to bring to my tutoring sessions. A passion of mine is to assist children with their reading, writing and math skills. In addition, I enjoy tutoring students with their math skills from elementary to Algebra 1. Also being a Special Educator, I am experienced with educational assessments, differentiating work in order to personalize it for each student and their preferred style of learning, and utilizing a variety of teaching methods for instruction and assessment other than the standard written formats. For example, I have successfully applied project based and competency based instruction and assessment for students who prefer a more hands on approach learning style. I offer flexible times and always provide that personal touch!
