Certified Tutor

I have a Bachelor's of Science in pure mathematics. I have done graduate work in Numerical Analysis and Applied (mathematical) Statistics.

I began my teaching career with middle and high school students and now now several years experience of being a university professor and tutor.

As a college student I was placed in the lowest level math class and worked my way to paid graduate internships. This is as allowed me to identity with my student's challenges and goals of getting caught up and getting ahead.

I am content being a math nerd. I wear the t-shirts and go to the conventions. I am also content with helping students reaching their goals and becoming independent life-long learners. Students of all ages are enjoyable to work with.

I am patient and expect math mistakes while at the same time always expecting and challenging students to always do their best and to improve what their best means.

My core tutoring values are these:
1) Everyone can learn but effort is required.
2) A strong foundation is critical (mile-deep and inch-wide philosophy).
3) Supporting the framework of the students class and instructor.
