My interest in helping others spans as far back as I can remember. As a young child I was always trying to help my mother and grandmother with chores and other tasks that I could manage at a young age. I began to pick up an interest in medicine after seeing the happiness in my mother as she carried out the duties of a nurse.

I started high school at an early/middle college program in Greensboro at the Middle College at N.C. A&T, where I excelled in the sciences and score in the top percentiles for my grade level in the entire state of North Carolina.

I continued my studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (go heels), where I received a full academic scholarship to attend the institution. I major in Psychology and Exercise Sciences where I learned not only how the mind works, but the body as well. In May of 2020 I will graduate with degrees in both majors.

I hope to continue my studies in the field of medicine to help people not only physically, but mentally as well. There are countless people that are local to me that could use a doctor that cares about the person as a whole and that is something that I hope to contribute to society and the world through medicine.
