Certified Tutor

I've been a college professor, an assessment specialist, a consultant, a CTO for a global nonprofit operating in five countries, and a startup entrepreneur. I am still a consultant, and I run an animation studio in Sparta, NC, as well as teach classes at the local community college. I'm learning every day.
I believe that we never stop learning. Also, we often learn best from constructive feedback about our mistakes. In my experience as a learning systems designer and developer, I've found that different techniques work better for different subject areas. I try to use a project-based approach to learning, either collaborative or individual, in as many of my classes as I can.
Fun fact(s): I'm a gardener, a writer, and a professional photographer.
