In May 2018, I graduated from Duke University with a BS in Biomedical Engineering and Global Health with a Chemistry Minor. I am currently working in healthcare to gain clinical experience prior to applying to medical and/or graduate schools. While at Duke, I tutored elementary aged children as a part of the America Reads America Counts program. Also, while in high school, I tutored Pre-Algebra through Calculus to high school aged students. Currently, I tutor a variety of math courses from elementary-aged math through college level calculus. I also tutor English and writing skills, having taken several writing intensive college courses and gained experience in professional research manuscript writing. I prefer tutoring math (of any level) as I really enjoy seeing and better understanding how the world works through numbers. When I teach, I enjoy drawing real world connections and giving tangible examples of abstract ideas. I am an optimistic, energetic motivator who believes anyone can achieve anything he/she puts his/her mind to. Outside of academia, I am very active and love the outdoors. I am an avid trail runner and enjoy watching sports, particularly college MBB and the NBA.
