Life opens up to us when we educate ourselves. Therefore, it is of paramount importance that our children receive a meaningful and enduring education. They need it to navigate through life and so they can pass it on to others.
I received my Bachelors of Arts in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing from California Statue University Northridge. Prior to that, I earned several A.A.As in Film and TV at Scottsdale Community College in AZ. While attending Arizona State University, I worked as a study hall monitor and tutor for athletes at the Sun Devil Stadium office. In Seattle, I started my own tutoring company called Twilight Tutors and tutored high school students for several years. I helped them write papers and prepare for exams.
I tutor students in the following subjects: English, Finance, History, Biology, Economics, and various other topics. My favorite subject to tutor is English because it is the foundation of good writing and reading. I like to tutor students by using real world examples that they care about and can relate to. I learn each student's learning style and then adapt to it. Everyone is different and everyone learns at his or her own pace.
When I'm not tutoring, I love to write, read, hike, workout, and watch documentaries. I often volunteer in my community by cleaning up parks and by removing debris from the roadside.
