Certified Tutor

I am a gifted tutor with 28 years experience. My view of the tutor's role is equipping students for current success as well as putting them on a trajectory to be successful life-long learners.

Each student learns best in different ways. I love discovering what helps each individual and tailoring my instruction accordingly. Seeing exactly where a student is making an error is like gold to me because then I know precisely what I need to re-teach or explain in another way.

In addition to tutoring, I am a certified teacher with classroom teaching experience in high school math, personal finance, and elementary music and computer classes. I have managed tutors as a Director of Education for Sylvan Learning Center. In that role I curated curriculum in academic skill development, study skills, and test preparation which I individualized according to each student's needs. And finally, I have developed test preparation curriculum as well as computer and music class curriculum.
