Certified Tutor

After high school, I graduated from Kansas State University. Years later, when my daughters were in high school, I became a certified teacher after studying at Dallas Baptist University. I fell in love with teaching students and the whole education process! I knew this is what I was meant to do!

I have taught a wide variety of classes, but mathematics and algebra are my favorite! I am especially passionate about helping struggling students discover they can do well in math. My tutoring style is very interactive. I want the student to ask questions, try new concepts and be active during tutoring. It has been my delight to see these students be successful in math after working hard. I have tutored students in my own classes and in a tutoring center for over 10 years. I love when students understand that math is something they will use the rest of their life!

Outside of teaching, I love sewing, quilting (quilt patterns are really mathematical, too), and playing with our two little dogs.
