Certified Tutor

I have been tutoring for over seven years in a variety of capacities. During my time in college, I had a part time job in the student writing center. During this time I would support college students with improving their writing and grammar.

My first experience with private tutoring began when I graduated from college and began my teaching career in Madrid, Spain on a Fulbright.

During this time I worked with students as an ESL teacher in a local high school. During my time there I also tutored students in their home as a way of supporting others and making extra income to live abroad.

Upon my return to the U.S., I became a high school teacher for about five years. During this time I mainly taught literature for ninth and tenth graders. While my background has been in teaching literature, I have also have adult learners that I have supported in conversational Spanish or study skills.

When I am not tutoring or supporting others in their learning, I enjoy writing, reading and spending time with loved ones. I also enjoy traveling and visiting new countries.
