I am a former high school Algebra 1 and Geometry teacher in Hawaii, but Algebra and Geometry are not my only areas of expertise. In addition to teaching math all day, I also studied mechanical engineering at Georgia Tech, so I have a very applicable and in-depth understanding of higher math classes as well, especially Calculus. I've also been through college-entrance exams before and am currently helping my students go through them as well. I tutor almost all types of math and physics (which is just applied math!). I love teaching these subjects, because behind the material is a necessary deep understanding of problem solving, which is applicable to all areas of life. As a teacher and tutor, I think it's really important to make meaningful connections with my students to help them grow both in their subjects and personally.

I love reading, hiking, camping, going to the beach, and just being outside as much as possible. On lazy days, I could binge Netflix all day; or, if I feel like getting some exercise in, running is typically my go-to. I have a cat that I definitely spoil too much, but he's worth it.
