Annie
Certified Tutor
Over the years, I have had the utmost pleasure of tutoring people of a variety of ages, skill levels, interests, and abilities. While my methods may vary, my purpose remains the same: empower others to reach their unique goals. I tailor my lessons to meet the needs of each individual as we all have different obstacles and strengths. I have found particular joy working with Elementary School Special Education students, but thoroughly enjoy the variety of experiences and challenges presented when working with diverse student populations. Helping someone learn is a beautiful thing whether the student is 5 years old or 85 years old.
I am currently working towards my master's degree in Biomechanics and Motor Control. My goal is to help develop better prostheses for active populations and/or work on injury prevention biomechanics for the military. I work for my university as both a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant. Previously, I graduated with my BS in Health, Wellness, Human Nutrition, and Pre-Medicine and then participated in a post-baccalaureate medical program. I have worked in a variety of fields, including education, medicine, and fitness.
In my spare time I enjoy an assortment of hobbies, like snowboarding, hiking, drawing, cooking, dancing, and playing volleyball. I have also played the flute for over 20 years in different orchestras, bands, and small ensembles.
I am passionate that every person deserves to achieve his/her/their goals. It is a pleasure to help people progress from where they currently are to where they hope to be, and I am honored to help facilitate this growth.
Thank you, and I look forward to meeting you!
