Certified Tutor

In college, I tutored mathematics for three years. Branches of math that I tutored include college algebra, pre-calculus, calculus (1, 2, and 3), and linear algebra. I also tutored local middle school and high school students in pre-algebra, algebra (1 and 2), geometry, trigonometry, AP Calculus, AP Statistics, and ACT/SAT Math Prep. While I was a tutor, I noticed my students' performance increase; I saw grades increase from C's and D's to A's, B's, and C's and test sub-scores increase by 2 or 3 points. Not only do I have knowledge in the field of mathematics and experience tutoring the subject, but I also thoroughly enjoy using my gifts to help students succeed. I have even helped students with special needs. I believe that sadly, math is becoming a subject in which students across the nation are showing deficiency. I believe that all it takes to turn that around is a good teacher who is patient, kind, and fair, and a student who is willing to learn and do better. I am a reliable tutor; I respond to emails and text messages promptly, and I show up when I say I am going to. I always give reasonable notice if I am not available. I love math, and I love people. I think tutoring would be a great fit for me.
