Certified Tutor

I understand not every student of the same age or grade level learns the same. I am aware that each particular student has their own level of development and cognitive abilities that need to be recognized in order for he/she to fully understand any curriculum/material that they are currently enrolled in. I will assess the learning capacity within each student to help improve their developmental levels for growth. After my initial assessment, I will personalize a tutor program for that particular student.

The student will not fall behind because we will develop their cognitive levels as we progress through the sessions. I will implement developmental activities/work integrated into their current work/studies. Being a tutor, I realize that some people fall behind. They can't focus and they just don't understand the material. They do not want to study, they can't find the right answers, they have problems with memorizing vocabulary and they may have may issues with retaining information. Maybe a parent has issues understanding the curriculum/material, has no time to spend tutoring, sees no progress or has trouble getting their child to focus/study.

I understand the issues students and parents have. I have been there before, which is why I study Human Development that incorporates Sociology, English, History, Anthropology, Psychology, Political-Science, Math, Computer Science, Counseling and more. I am currently a student myself seeking a Bachelor's Degree and will complete it in just under a year. My first years in college were rough as I was not aware of my learning style and my lack of development in this area. However, I have come a long way. I have helped many students and parents over the course of several years. My integrity along with a huge heart and smile are a huge plus as a tutor as a tutor in my opinion.
