I go to the University of Vermont, and am seeking a Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry with a minor in Pharmacology and a Pre-Med track. My main goal for tutoring students is for them to be able to understand the content that they are struggling with or need more practice in so that they can be successful on exams and in whatever else they may need the knowledge for. Over the course of high school and my freshman year at college, I had the privilege to be able to tutor students and friends in subjects mainly including, but not limited to, Chemistry, Biology, Calculus, and Physics (Calculus-based and Algebra based). Being able to help a student toward their goal by aiding in their understanding of how to integrate basic polynomials, or balance a chemical equation, understand Newtonian mechanics, etc. is a fulfilling experience. Knowing that I had a part in their success gives me a sense of pride and happiness. Trust me, I have been in those spots where I feel like I just cannot understand a concept, and me being the strong-headed individual I was, I had trouble seeking help. However, it is one the best decisions a student can make when struggling with a topic. I now want to continue to return the favor to fellow students going through this struggle.
