With over 10 years of experience in teaching, tutoring, mentoring, and academic administration, I have worked at institutions such as the Art Institute of Houston, Miami International University of Art & Design, Houston Community College, and San Jacinto College. I hold a Master of Arts in Art History from the University of Illinois-Urbana/Champaign, a Master of Arts in Humanities (Magna Cum Laude) from the University of Houston-Clear Lake, a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Design and Visual Arts, and an Associate of Arts in General Studies. I specialize in tutoring art history, English, Conversational French, History, Photography, and English as a Second Language, in which these subjects allow me to connect students with culture, history, and human expression. Beyond academia, I enjoy walking my dog and spending time with my three cats, Arsinoe IV, Nephthys, and Aya. All three cats are named after great women in Ancient Egypt. Also, I have a Teacup Chihuahua, Marie Antoinette (aka Boobie), who thinks she is the boss of all the cats. Boobie is funny, because she bosses the cats around, which are larger than her. The cats could easily squish her, if they sat on her. Lol! In addition, I enjoy reading and exploring historical and artistic topics.
