I am a rising junior at Boston University, where I am working toward a Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology with a minor in Psychology while on the pre-medicine track. I hope to one day become a child and adolescent psychiatrist and as I have been pursuing this goal, I have gained a lot of experience working with children of all ages. I'm quite passionate about volunteering, which has allowed me the opportunity to help children from preschoolers to high schoolers as a volunteer tutor. I have tutored elementary and middle schoolers in Math and English as well as my peers in Stuyvesant High School in Biology and Calculus. I may not be able to help children medically until I become a doctor, but until then I want to be able to help in any way that I can, which includes educationally. I tutor in a variety of subjects, but my favorite has to be tutoring Math, from Pre-Algebra to Calculus, because a lot of students seem to dread doing math and I love it when I'm able to explain a difficult concept so that it finally clicks for them and they hate the subject a little less. Outside of academia, I enjoy wandering the city with my friends, trying out new dessert places, reading, and watching Netflix.
