Gabriel: Delaware County tutor
Certified Tutor
I am a native Colombian scholar and educator. I received my Ph.D. in Hispanic American Literature and Cinema from Emory University in 2012. For the past 10 years I have taught Spanish language, literature, and cinema classes and seminars at institutions such as Emory University in Atlanta, The George Washington in Washington D.C., and Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin.
As Head Spanish instructor at The New School of Atlanta, I teach language and literature classes, as well as World and Latin American History. I have extensive experience with directed studies and tutoring, both in person and online. I enjoy watching people learn and develop confidence in their abilities. I also enjoy the connections between language and culture and am happy to incorporate Latin American arts, history, and traditions into my lessons to show my students how their efforts connect to a bigger picture.
