My academic strengths are in the areas of teaching Astronomy and Lab. World History, Ancient History, European History, U.S. History, East Asian Studies, Literature and Algebra. My latest book is on Bright and Dark Nebulae, but I have published a number of works on Solar System Research and Science History. I have taught university classes for over two decades and have over four decades teaching at all levels.

Osterbrock Book Prize from the American Astronomical Society - HIstorical Astronomy Division for my work on the Biographical Encyclopedia of Astronomers) including several major chapters in scientific Encyclopedia and also one major book in Astronomy on the topic of Bright and Dark Nebulae, 2017!
