Certified Tutor

Every person is capable for much more than they give themselves credit for. I believe that time will prove the extent of a person's creativity and intelligence. I have tutored younger siblings for many years but since December I have been tutoring English regents prep at a high school. I have more experience with Pre-K students but I have always enjoyed helping at any age. The energy students bring to learning new things and understanding complex ideas will always be unmatched. I received my Bachelor in English in May 2017 from Buffalo State College however, I am currently pursuing my teaching certification for post secondary English education there. Afterwards, I am planning to attend University of Buffalo to attain my Master's in School Counseling. I tutor English and it's my favorite because I love literature. There is a piece for everyone whether it be a graphic novel or traditional, poem or play. I'd describe myself as a tutor who listens first then talks because I believe that it's the best way to understand where a student needs help. Outside of the classroom, I often listen to music, learn new languages and research different places in the world and their cultures.
