I'm a lifelong learner. I love understanding why things in the world work as they do, and how all the pieces fit together to form the whole. And as much as I enjoy learning new things for myself, I also enjoy sharing my knowledge with others. In fact, I started tutoring when I was in 4th grade, helping my fellow classmates with math. And I continued tutoring others through high school, college, grad school, and beyond.

I've learned new things by working on my own, working one-on-one with others, working in pairs, in groups, and in large lectures. Of all these different forms of learning environments I've experienced, I've found working one-on-one with mentors to be the most valuable. Being in an environment in which a mentor fully tailors his attention to meet my personal needs has been invaluable. It has been during these times that I have really cemented my understanding of both the basics as well as the nuances of different concepts. And it is this experience that I seek to provide others.

I have a BA in Mathematics from the University of Pennsylvania and a PhD in Economics from the University of Chicago. I have also published a book on technology adoption, Winning the Hardware-Software Game.

I've tutored students in all levels of math, from Algebra through Calculus. I've tutored Economics, Accounting, and Finance, as well as SAT Prep and GRE Prep. I've also helped students with their writing: School essays, college and graduate school applications, and job applications. My favorite subject to tutor is Economics. It's perhaps the most intuitive subject for me.

I try to teach my students different perspectives on the same concept, for example, through equations, graphs, intuition, and real world examples, so they see there's more than one way to understand things. In my experience, understanding concepts from multiple dimensions best cements peoples' understanding of a subject.

I love learning new things. I spend a lot of time reading. And when I'm not reading, I enjoy baking, exercising, and spending time with my cat.
