Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in elementary Education with a minor in sociology. Since graduation, I have obtained a teaching position as a first grade bilingual teacher. I am fluent in Spanish. During my collegiate years, I took additional courses to specialize in reading. I am most passionate about providing students with the tools they need to be successful. In my experience helping struggling students who don't enjoy reading and writing is the most enjoyable. There is something special about witnessing student gain confidence to become independent readers and writers. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. In my spare time, I enjoy reading that which enriches my life, walking my two dogs, running, and crafting.
