Certified Tutor

A graduate of Cleveland State University, I received my Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in Spanish Language and Culture in May of 2017. I have honed my language skills in my travels to an array of Spanish-speaking countries such as Spain, Mexico, and Cuba, and enjoy passing those skills on to my students. Since 2014, I have worked as a Spanish tutor of both high school and college students ranging in age from their early teens and into their 70s at Lorain County Community College. I find the profession extremely rewarding knowing that the skills which I help learners develop transcend their many uses in the academic and professional worlds by making large portions of the cultural and geographic worlds more accessible to the native English speaker. In order to best serve my students, I try to assess and adapt lessons to the learning style of each individual with whom I work while incorporating their unique personal interests. I find that combining these techniques facilitates the learning process by not only making lessons more comprehensible, but also by captivating the student on a personal level. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, playing music and attending concerts, staying physically fit through a wide variety of sports and athletics, and spending time with my wonderful 11-year-old daughter.
