Certified Tutor

I earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature with a focus on Writing from Middle Tennessee State University in 2013. Soon after, I began teaching English abroad in Spain for 2-and-a-half years where I discovered my knack and passion for teaching. I tutored students ages 7 to 40 in my spare time, primarily ESL students. It's in those tutoring sessions I learned how valuable sitting down one-on-one with a student is to improving their academic success and goals.

While I am qualified to tutor in many different areas of English, as a writer and proofreader, I have a passion for improving the written language skills of learners. Helping students improve their own abilities in writing, reading, and comprehension is a life mission I take very seriously. I have plans to return to graduate school next year to obtain my Masters of Education to continue this mission.

In my spare time, I like to write and perform poetry, read, listen to music, and spend time outdoors surrounded by the beautiful Oregon nature.
