I received my undergraduate education at Duke University where I was a double major in History and Economics. I also have two Masters degrees, one in Business Administration from Duke and one in Library and Information Sciences from St. Johns University in New York. I have been tutoring and training for the last 9 years and my students have ranged from high school to senior business people. I usually present in front of a classroom but also do a lot of one on one tutoring, as well.

I tutor a number of subjects and my passion is history although my experience in tutoring has been broadly around business subjects like finance and accounting. My favorite subject to teach is finance as I have a lot of personal experience in this field and like to speak about what really goes on in the world of finance. My teaching philosophy is to teach so that a student can teach others. I want them engaged from the beginning coming up with answers and internalizing the material.

Outside of tutoring, I love dogs (I have 6 bulldogs!) and also enjoy reading, movies, and boxing.
